Q&A:

Q: What is Happy Art Studio?

A: Happy Art Studio is a fun art studio for anyone interested in painting, pottery and art making! We offer a variety of classes!

Painting:

In our painting classes we use acrylic paints on many different surfaces and teach the class step by step through the specific painting of the night. More complicated paintings are either sketched or stencils are provided. Most of our guests have no painting experience. At the end of your class, you will get to take home your own creation that you will be proud of!

Beginning Pottery Classes:

In our beginning pottery classes we will be using stoneware, earthenware or white clay that we will explore the many ways of manipulating clay and making things.  This includes wheel throwing and hand building as well as using different types of glazes.  Most of our guests have no experience with pottery.  This is a 9 week course and at the end of the course guests will have several art pieces to take home and show off!

Advanced Pottery Classes:

In our advanced pottery classes we will again be using stoneware clay that we will dive deeper into wheel throwing and hand building techniques.  We will also be exploring other ways of firing your clay creations including a technique called raku. This class is only every so often and is also a 9 week course. At the end of this course you will again get to have several of our own creations!

Specialty Classes:

Other classes will be offered every so often such as mosaic tile garden poles, needle felting, loom knitting, hand knitting, junk journals, crazy furniture painting, macrame, encaustic painting, and many other fun ideas! So keep a look out for these!
