A Collection of My Art

Artist Statement:
People, family both human and animal, nature, little houses with falling down bricks, lakes that seem to be brimming with life (and maybe mermaids), the voices inside of my head, magic shows with strange illusions, my very weird and whacky dreams, that one neighbor who walks their cat on a clown leash, dinosaurs left in the mud pie my nieces and nephews made for me, and my absolutely crazy imagination are just a few things that inspire my artwork on an everyday basis. I strive to create a world of fantasy around me that tells a story with brilliant colors that would make even your sad old Grandpa Pete break a smile. To me there is too much sadness in the world and not enough smiles, maybe not even enough hope, so I want to bring back some happy and I do this the only way I know how- through my artwork. So I hope you enjoy your happy face today!!!

Art Bio:
I have been making art ever since I was a small child. My grandma who would watch my sister and I while my parents were at work had a giant cardboard box filled to the top with all kinds of art supplies like pom poms, paint, glue, paper, magazines, fabric scraps, puff paint, glitter, and whatever else she thought would keep us entertained. My sister would get bored after a while, but I could literally sit there for days on end working on my masterpiece. I didn’t know it then but that love for art would never fade and in fact only became stronger.
